  • Brain Storm Consultation

    Our brainstorming session was created for people who need a little jump start with decorations and designs they are considering. We can help narrow down ideas and décor pieces, and decide on paint colors or accents you have been contemplating while considering the pieces you currently have or plan to purchase.

  • Design Report

    A JoySpace interior design report gives you a design plan for your space that you will execute on your own. The report includes everything you need to get the look you want: a mood board of the proposed look, a design concept explanation, and a sourcing guide listing all of the items we selected for your space.

  • Purchasing and Install

    In the event you'd like a more turnkey experience or simply don't have time to execute your design report, JoySpace Austin is able to purchase all of your décor items and install them into the space.

Step Three:

Installation: JoySpace will pack up your items and begin the transformative process! We will place all our design pieces and hang wall art plus dispose of any large trash from your in-home furniture delivery.

Step One:

Design Contribution: This is an owner contribution of funds to JoySpace in order to purchase the items we have finalized on your design report

Step Two:

Ordering/Unpacking: We begin purchasing the items for your space. Furniture items will be shipped to your home while small items will be shipped to us so we can unpack them, throw away the packaging and inspect them for any damages.

Installation

We want to be sure this is a wonderful experience! In order to do so,  we need to be sure you’ve completed your part of this transformative process. 

  1. Please complete your homework list by the installation date. This includes moving unused furniture out of the way, updating anything on your end, and laundering any products necessary for installation. This list will be provided to you by JoySpace once our Design Report process is complete. 

  2. We ask that you are not present on installation days. This maximizes our time inside your home and also allows us to have an epic reveal for you! Imagine your own HGTV reveal moment :) 

Additionally, we want you to be clear that we will take one carload of trash off the premises on the day of installation. Any remaining trash will be broken down and placed in a designated area of your choice. In most cases, 1 car load is all you need.


Timeline

In most cases, from our initial consultation visit to completion of the project, will take 4-6 weeks, depending on our team's schedule availability as well as the availability of the decor items. We will do our best to schedule the installation date at a time that works best for you. Traditionally, we need 8-16 hours to complete the installation.

Prices listed above exclude labor for furniture assembly, moving furniture, accent walls, and additional carpentry work needed to execute the design vision. The cost for this can be discussed once your design report process is complete so we know exactly what to estimate. 

Pricing for this service will increase if the installation address is outside the travel radius of 20 miles. The additional cost is $50 for up to 30 additional miles. . 

Additionally, please be aware that we require a contingency plan of $800 - $1,000 to be built into this Design Assistance budget in order to accommodate any last-minute labor adjustments, additional delivery fees, or unforeseen returns.The amount of contingency can be determined during our budget discussion.  

Your owner contribution amount is based on the design total amount finalized by our design report. This contribution can be done via check or money order. We will also have an additional contract to sign, stating you are giving us this money to use for your project and any balance will be refunded to you. Once both parties sign this document, we will begin purchasing your products! 

*any product funds that go unused will be returned back to the client within 7 business days from the installation completion date.
